Toonaria: The Apocalypse Pit
Sometimes only family members and close friends came out to watch, and those who were drawn in by the shocking, violent action. When the floating island chain continued to sink, the details of the curse were remembered and people came out in droves to watch, despite the safety concerns of flying shrapnel, cave-ins, and other side effects of colossal, megaton creatures going to battle. Toonaria: The Dark Over
Apparently all communications networks died simultaneously. What technology wasn’t destroyed, malfunctioned, be it radio, missile silo, or two-slice toaster. Certain technologies were morphed into odd, arcane caricatures of their former designs. Many inanimate objects gained a semblance of life and crawled from the rubble. Screams and then profound silence followed, heralding a season of impenetrable darkness called the Dark Over. Continue reading →

Adventures in Toonaria Part 5
Never had the puff floated so high. It won’t be long now and I’ll be back home, the cloudling thought. It was much work to float so high at his age, being more dense than the oldlings, but he was determined to visit his uncle, for he heard rumors about a tainted ship heading for that region with a crew of Dark Ones, and feared for his family. Adventures in Toonaria Part 4
There’s a ton of adventuring potential in a setting like Toonaria, far more than you can generally get with traditional, single-genre settings. Blended-Genre. You gotta love it!
Blending-genres, like blending together certain foods, makes an entirely new dish—something special. You may not realize just how much you love #blended-genre because you haven’t really focused on it, just experienced it, like when watching Aliens, Avatar, Shaun of the … Continue reading →
